Yogi Adityanath’s UP Govt To Spend Rs 647 Crore On Gau Mata & People Call It ‘Cow Budget’

The Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has proposed to spend more than Rs 674 crore in the next financial year on maintenance of cow shelters in the state. The annual budget was presented by UP Finance Minister Rajesh Agarwal and an allocation of Rs 247.60 crore was made for the maintenance of cow-shelters in rural areas.

A separate amount of Rs 200 crore was earmarked for the upkeep if cow shelters under “Kanha Gaushala and Besahara Pashu Ashram” scheme in the urban areas in Uttar Pradesh.

With a hefty allocation, the UP government cleared their stance on cow welfare.
