Last night’s Extreme Rules fallout edition of SmackDown was headlined by a match originally intended for the pay-per-view.
Jeff Hardy and Sheamus faced off in a bar fight in the main event of last night’s SmackDown. The match took place in a bar and was done cinematic style.
Two matches on last night’s show set up title matches for next week. Nikki Cross defeated her tag team partner Alexa Bliss and will challenge for Bayley’s SmackDown Women’s Championship next Friday. In a fatal four-way match, Gran Metalik defeated Shorty G, Drew Gulak, and his Lucha House Party stablemate Lince Dorado. Metalik will challenge AJ Styles for the Intercontinental title next week.
After being put through two tables at Extreme Rules, Kofi Kingston claimed that he’ll be out of action for six weeks or more and said it’s now Big E’s time. Plus, a new Firefly Fun House segment aired following Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman’s swamp fight at Extreme Rules, Naomi appeared on Miz TV, and Matt Riddle took on Tony Nese.
