WWE Live Event Results (10/14/16) – Edmonton, AB

I was able to attend the live event in Edmonton last night. Here are the results:

1. Sasha Banks def. Charlotte via submission. Sasha was extremely over and got the victory after making Charlotte submit to the Bank Statement.

2. Braun Strowman def. Sin Cara via pinfall.

3. R-Truth def. Jinder Mahal via pinfall. After the match, Jinder went on the mic and said he wasn’t going to leave until someone else came out…

4. Neville def. Jinder Mahal via pinfall. Neville hit the Red Arrow to score a quick pin.

5. Enzo & Cass def. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson via pinfall. Enzo & Cass got huge pops and the crowd was firmly behind them. The duo hit the Rocket Launcher for the win.

6. Cesaro def. Chris Jericho via submission. Jericho came out to tons of cheers, but got on the mic to diss Edmonton and try to turn the fans on him. It partly worked, as the reaction to him was mixed from then on. Great match, Cesaro hit the Cesaro Swing and then the Sharpshooter to make Jericho tap out.

Intermission

7. Bayley & Alicia Fox def. Dana Brooke & Nia Jax when Bayley pinned Dana.

8. Roman Reigns def. Rusev via pinfall. Before the match, Lana came out, got on the mic, and also said some things about Edmonton. She got sent to the back after interfering and placing Rusev’s leg on the ropes after a near pin. Reigns came out to mostly cheers and got the pin after a spear. He left to a lot more of a positive reaction than when he entered and definitely more than last year when he faced Seth Rollins.

9. Kevin Owens def. Seth Rollins & Sami Zayn in a triple threat match. Another great match, all three guys got incredible positive reactions. The finish saw Rollins hit the Pedigree on Zayn but Owens got in there instead and stole the victory.

Overall: This was a pretty awesome show for a live event and the turn out was much better than I expected, especially since Edmonton got hit with some nasty weather earlier in the day. Some of the wrestlers only got to the show much later than expected. If you haven’t had the chance to experience WWE live, I highly recommend it!
