A new report from PWInsider.com states that Sting could be making a return to WWE tonight. The “Icon” is reportedly set to play a major role in the company’s upcoming Saudi Arabia pay-per-view, potentially even having one more match if he has been cleared by doctors. The road there could begin tonight at the Royal Rumble.
The report did continue by stating that as of now, it isn’t believed that the creative pitch involves The Undertaker, although the Deadman has been seen in Houston this weekend as well.
Of course, nothing is 100% guaranteed with a lot of rumors taking place today. Sting previously retired from in-ring competition during his WWE Hall Of Fame speech, and while he has appeared since that point, he hasn’t been involved in anything physically.
