The first two sets of the match between San Giustino and Piacenza won quite easily the players of Lorenzetti. Thanks to great game of the setter, Zhukouski and Van Den Dries (22 points) in attack the hosts were able to win the 3rd and the 4th set and try to beat the favourites in the tie-break. With the result 21:19 they won the 5th set and the whole match 3-2. The MVP was chosen Tsimafei Zhukouski, the most efficient of Piacenza was Hristo Zlatanov (21).
There was an exciting match in Latina, where the hosts faced up to Macerata, the main candidate to Scudetto. During the match the spectators could see great defences and many efficient blocks from both sides. The 1st set won by Andreoli Latina thanks to Sottile on the service and Starovic in attack. In the 2nd set Macerata has introduced a stronger service and quickly took the advantage. Despite an ambicious fight of the hosts, the guests took the set. The 3rd set of the match was full of blocks. 3 of Omrcen at first and then Sottile that gave Latina the victory in this part of the game. Marmi Lanza Verona wasn’t too hospitable to Sisley Treviso and beat them 3-1 (21:25, 26:24, 25:18, 25:23). Thanks to great game of Luigi Mastrangelo and Giuseppe Patriarca (MVP) Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo won over Vibo Valentina 3-0 (25:18, 26:24, 25:19).
