School Principal Sells Her Bangles To Donate Over Rs 1.5 Lakh To Families Of CRPF Martyrs Killed In Pulwama

Since the ghastly attack on CRPF soldiers in Pulwama on February 14, many have come forward to help the families of martyrs. The latest to join this list is a school principal from Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly. She sold her jewellery to help the families of the paramilitary martyrs. Kiran Jhagwal, the principal of a private school, donated nearly Rs. 1.5 lakh that she got after selling her bangles to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund.

“When I saw their wives crying on TV, I thought what’s the use of my bangles?”, Jhagwal said.

She also urged people to come forward and help in any way possible. “I sold my bangles & donated money to PM Relief Fund. The bangles were gifted by my father. People must come forward. We’re a population of 130 cr, if everyone donates even Re 1 each a lot can be collected”, she added.
