Since the ghastly attack on CRPF soldiers in Pulwama on February 14, many have come forward to help the families of martyrs. The latest to join this list is a school principal from Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly. She sold her jewellery to help the families of the paramilitary martyrs. Kiran Jhagwal, the principal of a private school, donated nearly Rs. 1.5 lakh that she got after selling her bangles to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund.
Kiran Jhagwal: When I saw the wives crying I thought what can I do for them, I sold my bangles&donated money to PM Relief Fund. The bangles were gifted by my father. People must come forward. “When I saw their wives crying on TV, I thought what’s the use of my bangles?”, Jhagwal said.
She also urged people to come forward and help in any way possible. “I sold my bangles & donated money to PM Relief Fund. The bangles were gifted by my father. People must come forward. We’re a population of 130 cr, if everyone donates even Re 1 each a lot can be collected”, she added.
