One of the hottest young prospects in the history of the WWE women’s division has finally arrived in NXT proper. 22-year-old Australian breakout star Rhea Ripley surprised everyone Wednesday night by crashing the party of NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler – and immediately made a statement.
Ripley took the ring at Full Sail University this week and wasted no time in coming face-to-face with the baddest woman in NXT today, and arguably the greatest women’s champion in the history of the black-and-yellow brand.
The “Queen of Spades” has more or less dominated Wednesdays with an iron fist ever since winning the title, putting down every name that has come through the doors, one after another. Every time an Io Shirai or Mia Yim makes you believe they may actually be able to take the title from Shayna, she literally puts them to sleep.

And yet… the young Rhea Ripley showed absolutely no fear in going straight after the champ, staring her in the eyes, and delivering a message that had the NXT crowd going wild. It took less than a minute, and just 20 minutes, but the former NXT UK Women’s Champion may have just established herself as the biggest threat to Baszler’s title reign so far.
“I know what you’re gonna say. You’re gonna say that you’ve beaten everyone here. But you haven’t beaten me, bitch!”
