At the end of what had to be a very long night of TV tapings, Randy Orton and Jinder Mahal wrestled in a dark match. The tapings held in Atlanta Georgia taped Smackdown Live, 205 Live, and Talking Smack, putting the match close to Midnight local time.
Orton only appeared in a quick interview during the Smackdown broadcast, talking about his late grandfather “The Bog O” Bob Orton Sr. being a strong silent type so he wasn’t going to talk very much. Jinder Mahal interrupted him appearing only on the video wall with the Singh Brothers. Mahal and Orton are scheduled to wrestle at the Money In The Bank show on June 18th.
After Talking Smack finished the match Orton and Mahal arrived in the ring and wrestled in a match that ended with Orton winning by disqualification when the Singh brothers entered the ring and interfered on Mahal’s behalf.
While Orton and Mahal may be wrestling for the WWE Title at the Money In The Bank show, last night’s Smackdown Live focused more on the 5 way match to determine a new top contender to the Smackdown women’s Title and the subsequent announcement of the first ever women’s Money In The Bank ladder match to take place at the show. The guests on Talking smack on the WWE network were the participants signed for the match.
