As reported by L’Équipe, Lyon are looking to step up their pursuit of West Ham United centre-back Issa Diop ahead of a summer move.
The former Toulouse captain, now 25, started the Europa League quarter-final second leg against The Hammers in the week and OL director of football Vincent Ponsot took the chance to meet with the player’s agents over a possible transfer. The meeting went well with OL willing to offer a long-term deal and an attractive salary.
Although his deal with the London side is up in 2023, WHU are looking for at least €10m to allow Diop to leave this summer, say the sports daily. Previous reports had suggested OL would need to play closer to €15m.
