Location change announced for October WWE SmackDown episode

WWE has announced a location change for an upcoming episode of SmackDown.

The Friday, October 1 episode of SmackDown will now be held at Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland. It had previously been scheduled for the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The WWE Friday Night SmackDown live event scheduled for October 1 at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans has been postponed. All original tickets will be honored for the new 2022 date.

Friday Night SmackDown on October 1 will now take place at Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore.

Additional ticket information on both events is forthcoming.

The New Orleans Pelicans announced on Monday that the Smoothie King Center “received only minor exterior damage” in Hurricane Ida and will be prepared to host games for the upcoming NBA season without issue.

The October 1 SmackDown episode will be the post-Extreme Rules edition of the show. Extreme Rules is taking place at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio on Sunday, September 26.
