It has finally happened! After years of waiting to see Finn Bálor, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows team up together for the very first time in WWE, the trio finally competed together during last night’s edition of Raw. The three famously competed together as part of the original Bullet Club faction in New Japan Pro Wrestling before joining WWE. When Raw General Manager Kurt Angle informed Bálor that he would need to find two partners to help him face Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel, and “The Drifter” Elias on Raw, the “Good Brothers” came through for him. They got the win in the six-man tag team match after Anderon and Gallows hit the Magic Killer, followed by the Coup de Grâce from Bálor.
Not only did Bálor get the win in his match on Raw, but he also officially announced that he would be participating in the Royal Rumble match. Several other participants for the men and women’s Royal Rumble match were announced on Raw this past Monday night. It was confirmed that John Cena will be joining the match. For the women’s Royal Rumble match, we now know that Sasha Banks and Bayley will be partaking in the match. Additionally, all three members of Absolution (Paige, Sonya Deville, and Mandy Rose) also announced that they will be involved in the match. More Royal Rumble entrants will likely be revealed on Smackdown later on tonight.
In addition to some new Royal Rumble match entrants being announced on yesterday’s Raw show, the rules for the match have also been announced for both matches. The men’s Royal Rumble match will follow the usual blueprint: 30 men will enter at different time intervals, eliminations occur when one entrant has been thrown over the top rope, and the winner will face their brand’s world champion at WrestleMania. Those same rules still apply towards the women’s Royal Rumble match, but it has now been confirmed that the match will also consist of thirty participants. Both Royal Rumble matches take place on the pay-per-view of the same name on January 28th.
