— Regarding last week’s round of talent cuts, WWE wasn’t budget-cutting but rather subtracting wrestlers from the roster because of a number of new roster additions. The feeling is cuts were imminent since several wrestlers from NXT, and a few others from Florida Championship Wrestling not put on NXT, are scheduled to start on Raw or SmackDown soon.
— Bret Hart has been very hands-on mentoring David Hart Smith, Tyson Kidd and Natalya. He watches all of their matches and sends them a report card each week if he’s not on the road with them.
— The actual number of fans for the Mar. 22 double Raw and Smackdown taping in San Jose was 12,748 with approximately 11,000 paid and a gate of $282,220.
