Tonight’s edition of WWE Smackdown from London will feature Women’s Champion Carmella throwing a “Mellabration” for the fans in Britain.
The segment kicked off with Carmella discussing her reign as Smackdown Women’s Champion before she began running down The Royal Family and the people of England. This prompted Smackdown GM Paige to hit the ring and make a major announcement – Carmella will defend her title at next month’s WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view against The Empress of Tomorrow, Asuka.
In other Money in the Bank news, Becky Lynch won a qualifying match to advance to the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Meanwhile, The New Day defeated The Bar in a tag team match meaning the trio will get to select a member of their team to compete in the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
