In a gruesome crime, two minor girls from Ranchi, aged 13 and 16, were allegedly raped by their boyfriends who had invited them for the picnic. The missing complaint was lodged on January 2 in Jagannathpur police station by family members of the 13-year-old girl and the family alleged that the 16-year-old friend of her had kidnapped her for trafficking.
But the girls returned and narrated a different story to the families and the police. Anup Karmakar, the in-charge of the Jagannathpur police station, said that both had the statement to the police saying they had left their houses to meet their boyfriends who asked to come for a picnic on January 2.
