Two Dead As Heavy Rains Cause Flooding In Karnataka, Northern Districts The Worst Affected

The flood situation in Karnataka has worsened, especially in North Karnataka with the downpours showing no signs of slowing down. The rains which are continuing in neighboring Maharashtra for nearly ten days have caused flooding in Belagavi district after water was released from the Koyna reservoir. There are fears that the conditions could worsen further if more water is released from reservoirs in the Krishna basin.
