WWE NXT ratings up for second straight week

Last night’s WWE NXT on the USA Network averaged 717,000 viewers, up 4.7 percent from last week. It’s the second-highest viewership for the show since May 4.

In the 18-49 demo, NXT drew a 0.17 rating, up 6.3 percent from last week’s post-TakeOver 36 episode. The show finished 23rd on the cable charts in that category.

This week’s NXT seemed to do well with younger women, with the show drawing a 0.12 rating in women 18-49. That’s up 20 percent from last week, while males in the same age group were even with last Tuesday. With females 12-34, the rating was a 0.07, up 40 percent from last week. Males 12-34 were actually down 13.3 percent in that category.

The only other demo that was up from last week was people over 50, where the show drew a 0.40 rating, up 5.3 percent from the previous week.

Year-over-year, NXT was down 15.6 percent in total viewers and down 34.6 percent in the 18-49 demo. That shows that NXT is skewing much older than it was at this time last year. NXT had Wednesday night to itself at this point in 2020 due to AEW Dynamite moving nights because of the NBA playoffs, so this is a truer comparison than it is most weeks.

As compared to the 10-week averages, as shown in the chart below, NXT this week was up 10.3 percent in overall viewers and up 6.3 percent in the 18-49 demo.
