Becky Lynch Named Sports Illustrated’s 2018 Woman Wrestler of the Year

Becky Lynch was recently named Sports Illustrated‘s Top Woman Wrestler of the year for 2018. The Irish Lass-Kicker has been at the forefront of the wrestling world for much of the year, so this is not the first accolade she’s received for her work.

Indeed, Becky has truly found herself in WWE. From the moment she turned on Charlotte Flair, Lynch established herself as a fearless player in the company. She took her new attitude and her new outlook to social media, where she has called out everyone from Ronda Rousey to Corey Graves.

But Lynch’s most impressive moment of the year is perhaps the night when she and the women of SmackDown Live invaded Monday Night Raw. During the melee, Lynch took a straight right to the face from Nia Jax. The shot broke Becky’s nose and forced WWE to remover her from Survivor Series.

The sight of a bloodied and bruised Becky Lynch became a defining moment for her in 2018. She is now one of the top stars in WWE and is arguably the most popular Superstar in the company.
