Despite not appearing on television in the month of December, we head into a brand new year with Brock Lesnar still the reigning WWE Champion.
It has been reported for some time now that the “Beast Incarnate” will have his next match at the 2020 Royal Rumble pay-per-view, which means he’ll likely be returning to television within the next few weeks to begin the build-up towards that match.
Who his next opponent is remains a mystery at this point. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, one name who will likely not be in that spot is Cain Velasquez, as the UFC legend is currently scheduled to be in the Royal Rumble match itself.
Furthermore, the Observer is reporting that Brock Lesnar will be on the WrestleMania 36 match card, but as of right now two hotly discussed fan ideas – the Velasquez rematch and a bout against boxer Tyson Fury – are not in the works for the annual April classic.
