WWE 24/7 Title Trades Hands on New Year’s Eve in Times Square

The WWE 24/7 Championship changed hands on Tuesday night during the annual New Year’s Eve with Steve Harvey celebration on FOX, live from Times Square.

During an interview with host Maria Menounos, R-Truth was surprised by Mojo Rawley who rolled him up for a quick three-count to win the title for the first time. Menounos, a former WrestleMania performer in her own right, made the count herself, revealing a referee’s uniform under her outfit.

Rawley then came face-to-face with a disgruntled Elias, who had performed in Times Square earlier in the night. The Drifter blasted the new champion with his guitar, and R-Truth took advantage of the moment to win back the title, becoming a 30-time WWE 24/7 Champion.

.@RonKillings & @MojoRawleyWWE had a WILD night with the #247Championship on the line in #TimesSquare with special guest referee @mariamenounos?!
