— AJ Styles continued to mock Randy Orton in a backstage promo, ahead of their match next week on Raw. Tonight he defeated Akira Tozawa in short order, not only delivering Orton’s signature Hangman’s DDT, but actually won the match using the RKO.
— A promo from Becky Lynch after she punched Asuka in the face. The two are scheduled to face off for the Raw Women’s title at the Royal Rumble later this month.
— A minor update on the mysterious cage that Erick Rowan brings everywhere with him. In a backstage segment, Mojo Rawley actually looked inside the cage and ran away horrified. Later during a match, Rowan forced a local jobber’s face into the cage, and he also ran away screaming, covered in some sort of red liquid.
— Andrade and Rey Mysterio had yet another excellent match on Raw this week, albeit with a strange finish. Andrade retained the U.S. title after throwing Mysterio into his manager, Zelina Vega. The referee then stopped him from doing his finisher, playing it up like Rey was injured, but you could clearly hear him tell Rey to go outside and check on Vega. He did so, and then they went right to the same finish.
