John Cena Settles Out Of Court With Ford Motor Company, Cena Issues Statement

John Cena has reportedly settled out of court with the Ford Motor Company following an odd lawsuit.

Cena sold a Ford he owned, however it was a breach of contract, as he was given the car and it was written in the deal that he could not sell the vehicle to another owner for the first two years after getting it.

The WWE Superstar unknowingly breached the contract, selling his $450,000 Ford GT in October of 2017, one month after receiving the car. This led to the Ford Motor Company filing a lawsuit against Cena in November of last year.

Ford was seeking $75,000 in damages, as well as the cost of the Ford GT in question due to Cena selling his car too soon.

Autoblog is reporting that Cena and Ford have reached an agreement to settle out of court, effectively ending the lawsuit. Ford will receive an undisclosed settlement amount from Cena and the money will be donated to charity.

Cena issued the following statement after resolving his legal issues with the Ford Motor Company:

“I love the Ford GT and apologize to Ford, and encourage others who own the car to respect the contract. I am pleased we could resolve this matter outside of court, and that a worthy charity will benefit from one of the most iconic cars in the world.”
