News on Scurll’s ROH Status, Gordon Injured Again, WM35 Weather

Marty Scurll will be competing against Matt Taven and Jay Lethal for the ROH World Championship at the G1 Supercard show. Most fans have assumed that Scurll will lose the match and then leave Ring of Honor so that he can join the rest of his friends in The Elite over at All Elite Wrestling. Not so fast. According to the Wrestling Observer Radio, Scurll is not leaving ROH any time soon. On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained that Scurll’s deal with ROH will keep him there until at least the fall of this year. If Scurll does end up winning the title at the Madison Square Garden show, that could certainly be one way to convince him to stay on board with ROH when his deal comes close to expiring later this year.
It appears that Flip Gordon has once again injured his knee and won’t be able to compete on future ROH shows. Gordon had already injured the knee during Ring of Honor’s Honor Reigns Supreme event back in January. That injury kept him out of action until the promotion recently announced that he would be making his return to the ring during the Road to G1 Supercard show in Baltimore, Maryland on March 31st. Unfortunately, ROH confirmed today that Gordon reinjured the knee and met with his doctor to discuss the next steps to take earlier in the morning today. He received the injury during an Over the Top Wrestling show in Northern Ireland. There is fear now that he could miss 4-6 months on competition.

Unfortunately this morning I woke up and my knee was completely locked up. I was able to make it onto my flight and just landed back home, but still can’t bend it completely.
I have a doctors appointment scheduled for tomorrow morning! ?????????? #PositiveVibes

Given that WWE will be coming to East Rutherford, New Jersey for WrestleMania 35 this year, some fans have raised questions relating to the weather conditions for the show. Some photos showing workers shoveling snow out of MetLife Stadium have surfaced online this week, but Ringside News now says that these are older photos. The report says that there actually hasn’t been any snowfall in the area in about a week now. The Accuweather forecast for the date of the event predicts some rainfall could be expected, which is why WWE typically puts a canopy over the rain when they hold shows in outdoor stadiums. It is set to be 60 degrees and partly cloudy throughout most of the day, so there hopefully shouldn’t been any issues.
