218 People Fined For Walking On Delhi Metro Tracks, 499 Held For Pickpocketing In 2018

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has thrived in the capital for its diverse routes leading to every nook and corner of the capital. Spacious rides and affordable ticket prices have made the metro accessible to all kinds of individuals.

As the train network grows with more routes such as the magenta line, pink line and the rapid metro network, it requires more manpower to deal with crimes and defend risks against any possible attacks.

Petty crimes such as pickpocketing, walking on railway tracks, thievery and carrying arms and ammunition have been on the rise as 229 stations now function on a route that measures 314 km long. The India Today reported that Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) data revealed that 218 people had been fined this year until October for walking on railway tracks alone.Click Here: All Blacks Rugby Jersey
