New XFL season kicks off…with WWE personalities

While Vince McMahon has said several times that the XFL is its own entity and has nothing to do with WWE, two WWE employees hosted the pre-game show yesterday in what seems to be the same green screen studio where WWE panels are held when they are not inside the arena.
Jonathan Coachman, who anchors the pay-per-view Kickoff shows and Alyse Ashton, the Smackdown backstage correspondent, were tasked with doing the in-studio pre-game show yesterday prior to the first match. The XFL started yesterday with two games, one which aired on ABC and one which aired on FOX. All games will air on either ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, FOX, FS1, or FS2.
Apart from an off-camera appearance by Shane McMahon and Executive Vice President of Television Production Kevin Dunn at the Audi Field in Washington, DC, both broadcasts were pretty much WWE-free.

The launch of the XFL had a lot of mainstream publicity and did well in trending on socials and Google. The bigger job is now keeping momentum until the final game in late April.
Vince McMahon is solely funding this venture under his Alpha Entertainment LLC company using money he cashed out by selling thousands of WWE stocks worth over $100 million.

B Brian Blair Talks About Life, Positivity, and his Relationship with Hulk Hogan

Filed to GERWECK.NET:
On his current endeavors: “I’ve bought and sold a lot of houses, and I’ve spent a lot time with the Cauliflower Alley Club just visiting a lot of my former colleagues that are kind of down and out. Some of them are just getting up in age. I’ve always been a person that’s always believe in giving back… (I’ve also) ran for county commission, saving tax payers of Hillsboro county over a billion dollars over a four year period. I’m always busy trying to give back because that’s what keeps this bee buzzing.”
On his drive to help others: I’m always so full of energy. I get up early, and I go to bed by midnight usually…I just enjoy people; I’m a people person. I thrive on other people’s energy or their perceived problems or challenges….Nobody’s life is perfect; it takes other good people to really rationalize what’s going on in other people’s life. You have to share, you can’t keep things pent up inside. I like to be that guy that people can talk to, that people can count on, people can text, people can rely on me if they need something.”
On his life philosophy: “Nobody should ever think that they are better than anyone else…Nobody is better than anybody. We are all human beings and we all have to strive to make this world a better place while we have a chance. Why do we want to walk around miserable when we have such a short time on this earth? That’s the biggest thing. I always believe in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding; I try to soak it up and everybody can teach you something…God gave us two ears and one mouth, and I try to be a better listener.”
On his upcoming book: “I’m writing a book…I have a wonderful person in Scott Stevens; he is a tremendous author and journalist. He’s written three books that have been very successful for him…I’m trying to get five chapters done next week to send (to the publisher) and hopefully within this year we’ll have something to read.”
On his tough upbringing: “I grew up in Gary, Indiana and it was difficult…I grew up the hard way, the difficult way. I got (picked on for using) food stamps when I was 11 years old by (older kids)…My parents divorced when I was 13 and I was living on my own before my 16th birthday…You are a sum total of all your events, and you are about your choices. The choices that you make are what will make you…You always have to remain humble and be true to who you are…there are two things that I can’t stand: A liar and a thief.”
On his most memorable time in wrestling: “Flying in the private jets for a few months in a row, and limousines with Vince and Hulkster before the first Saturday Night’s Main Event and before the Wrestlemanias.”
On his friendship with Hulk Hogan: “Terry (Hulk Hogan) was one of my best men in my wedding…Terry Bollea has a tremendous heart. He’s never screwed me around in anyway in my lifetime. All I can say is that he’s been good to me and he’s been great for everyone in the wrestling industry and for everyone that thrives off the wrestling industry…without Hulk Hogan, Vince McMahon would not have stolen all of the territories.”
On training under Hiro Matsuda: “I was fighting for my life everyday. I went to this dungeon but I had a dream. It was called a dungeon for a reason; very few people broke in.”

Matt Hardy Says He’s Unkillable

Matt Hardy is doubling down on his assessment that he’s “unkillable” following his being booked for a match with Randy Orton on Raw. Hardy has released a new promo that you can see below, in which he talks about his contract status and match with Orton on this week’s episode after Orton have him a Con-Chair-To on Monday.
In the video, Hardy talks about how Orton is probably wondering how Hardy is cleared to compete and said it’s because he’s like nothing Orton has seen: an “indestructible survivalist.” He noted that the doctor said he shouldn’t compete, but he’s defiant and he imagines WWE is wondering if they can trust Hardy, who is “possibly unstable, maybe even broken” to compete on live TV.
He goes on to address reports of his contract status, noting that fans don’t know where he’ll be in a few weeks and neither does he. He says he’s going to go to a place where he’s respected and valued, a place where I am free to be me” and that fans know he cam make an impact wherever he shows up.
He concludes by telling Orton to do his best to kill him off, because he doesn’t think Orton can and he’s unkillable. Click Here: New Zealand rugby store

Rumored Lineup For Wrestlemania After Super Showdown (POSSIBLE SPOILERS)

At WWE Super Showdown yesterday, Goldberg won the WWE Universal title from ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt, which for now, changes the card for Wrestlemania. It had previously been reported that the plan was for Wyatt to defend against Roman Reigns (who would win the elimination chamber), but recent changes to the card will now likely have Goldberg against Reigns and Wyatt against John Cena. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, here is the card you can expect:
Confirmed:
* WWE Championship: Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Drew McIntyre
* NXT Women’s Championship: Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Charlotte Flair
Rumored:
* WWE Universal Championship: Goldberg (c) vs. Roman Reigns
* ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt vs. John Cena
* Edge vs. Randy Orton (with stipulations coming later)
* The Undertaker vs. AJ Styles
* RAW Women’s title: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Shayna Baszler
* Women’s tag team titles: Asuka & Kairi Sane (c) vs. Beth Phoenix and Natalya
* Otis vs. Dolph Ziggler (with Mandy Rose involved somehow)
* Men’s Battle Royal
* Women’s Battle Royal
It was noted there will be five other matches in addition to these, but they aren’t as set in stone.
First, Seth Rollins will have some sort of final confrontation with Kevin Owens. It’s unknown if this will be a singles match (which was the plan) or Owens teaming with someone to take on Rollins and Murphy for the RAW tag team titles. Owens’ partner could be Samoa Joe in that case, but his suspension won’t be up until March 24.
Bayley will defend the Smackdown women’s title against the winner of a third elimination chamber match involving the Smackdown women. A third hasn’t been announced but Lacey Evans mentioned being in one and she’s not in the RAW chamber, so it seems likely. Bayley vs. Naomi had been the plan, but that match has already happened.
Braun Strowman will defend the Intercontinental title.
The Miz and John Morrison will defend the Smackdown tag team titles. Either against the New Day in a rematch or against several teams. One potential team is Baron Corbin and Robert Roode, which was said to be possible, since Ziggler will be busy.
Andrade will defend the US title, likely in another multi-person match.
That’s a total of sixteen matches.Click Here: Kylian Mbappe Jersey Sale

AEW’s Big Swole, Cedric Alexander’s Wife, Remarks on his Odd WWE RAW Appearance

During last night’s Raw, Cedric Alexander made an appearance and lost to 24/7 champion Riddick Moss in a one-on-one match. The match lasted only about two minutes. Following his loss on Raw, Alexander posted a short tweet. It was often-used GIF of Abe Simpson walking into a place and then quickly walking back out. The caption only read, “#RAW.”
Later on, Alexander’s wife, AEW wrestler Big Swole, commented on the show and responded to his tweet. She wrote, “When the mess of it all.” You can see that exchange below.
If Cedric Alexander was expressing frustration with his spot in WWE, it’s not the first time he expressed it. Last month he wrote on Twitter, “Frustrated is an understatement,” following a loss to Angel Garza on Raw.

More on Why Vince McMahon Was Defiant to Present WrestleMania

PWInsider noted in an audio update that in spite of the Coronavirus, WWE went ahead with Wrestlemania by taping it at the Performance Center due to one person: Vince McMahon. It was noted that of the people spoken to, including wrestlers and staff, McMahon was the only person who thought WWE should move forward with Wrestlemania, who wanted Wrestlemania to happen in early April and who wanted WWE to move forward with the plan to tape it.
PWInsider also noted that McMahon oversaw all of the WWE TV tapings at the Performance Center including most, if not all, of the Wrestlemania tapings. While it seemed like McMahon might stay at home due to his age putting him at a higher risk for the virus, he was backstage as he normally is. Wrestlemania will air on the WWE Network on April 4-5.Click Here: custom injection moulding
