— With this week’s Smackdown Live now in the books, here is the updated card for Sunday’s WrestleMania PPV. The Smackdown tag team titles will be defended on the show in a four-way as rumored and WWE also announced three matches to take place on the Kickoff show.

Update: Rey Mysterio's Injury Will Not Prevent Him From Working WrestleMania 35

Despite rumors of injuries potentially plaguing the match, Rey Mysterio vs. Samoa Joe for the WWE United States Championship is officially “a go” for Sunday night’s WrestleMania 35 pay-per-view.

WWE sources confirmed to F4WOnline.com on Saturday morning that Mysterio is in good enough shape to work the U.S. title match as scheduled against Joe this Sunday evening.

As seen on Tuesday night’s SmackDown Live, Mysterio was pulled from his advertised match against Andrade on the show. It was reported, however, that he was seen backstage walking around without a limp despite the ankle injury he suffered in his match with Baron Corbin on Monday night’s RAW.

WrestleMania 35, featuring the Mysterio-Joe match for the U.S. Championship, goes down from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Sunday April 7th. The show will air live on pay-per-view, as well as on the WWE Network.

WWE Hall Of Famer Joins Instagram, Posts WrestleMania 35 Weekend Photos

Pro wrestling legend Greg “The Hammer” Valentine recently joined Instagram. The WWE Hall Of Famer can be found on IG at Instagram.com/GregTheHammerValentine.

His first post was about his WWE Hall Of Fame induction in 2004, which he quickly followed up with one that has some photos of himself with former tag-team champion partner in the WWE, Brutus ‘The Barber’ Beefcake, during his WWE Hall Of Fame induction as part of WrestleMania 35 Weekend earlier this month.

Additionally, “The Hammer,” who was a former WWE Intercontinental Champion, posted some pictures from the WrestleCon festivities during the same week.

Young Bucks Talk About NJPW and ROH Not Valuing Them In New Interview

In a new interview with Bleacher Report, Matt and Nick Jackson, better known in the pro-wrestling world as the Young Bucks, discuss the birth of All Elite Wrestling along with company co-founder, Tony Khan. As they each recall various moments throughout their careers that eventually led to them forming a promotion, Nick Jackson reveals that he and Matt never felt valued working in NJPW, and claims that they would have had to work another 20 years to even come to close to retiring. Jackson also mentions Ring of Honor, stating that he enjoyed working there, but their failure to offer a dual contract led to their decision to create AEW.

You know what’s sad? New Japan and ROH could have easily come together and offered us the contracts they wanted, but they just didn’t do it. New Japan never saw the value in Matt and I. They never paid us good. We would have had to work with New Japan for another two decades to even get close to retiring, and the style they demand is backbreaking. Ring of Honor paid us a lot better than New Japan. We could have probably retired there, but we would have to work probably another decade with them. We pitched it to both of them: Why don’t you guys get us a dual contract? And they just didn’t get it done. We would have easily stayed, and there would have never been an All Elite Wrestling if they would have met what we wanted, but it didn’t get done.

Kofi Kingston Releases Statement Following Wrestlemania 35 Victory

Becky Lynch Talks WrestleMania Main Event Finish, If Rousey Should Return

Becky lynch recently appeared on the Gorilla Position where the new Raw and SmackDown women’s champion gave her thoughts on her WrestleMania 35 main event victory over Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey. Lynch expresses her joy that she defeated Rousey with a wrestling move since for months Rousey has been insulting the business.

“I’m happy I beat her with a wrestling move after she insulted my business. She insulted my business and I beat her with a wrestling move. That’s all we need to know is that the ref counted to three and I became Becky Two-Belts.”

Lynch also states that she hopes Rousey returns in the future, because she’ll enjoy beating up on her again.

“I said it last night. I said, ‘Ronnie, you little weirdo, whenever you’re done sulking, the man will be right here ready to slap your empty head off your shoulders again.’ So I would love to see her come back. I would love to slap her across the face again, kick her in the gut, take her out and rip her arm right out of its socket. But we’ll see if that’s in the cards for her. I know that she’s probably hiding under a blankie and having a bit of a cry right now.”

Kofi Kingston Explains Why New Day Won't Break Up, Plans For WWE Title Run

As his media blitz continues after coming out of WrestleMania 35 as the new WWE Champion and one of the most-talked-about stories and “feel-good WrestleMania moments” in history, Kofi Kingston chimed in with popular mainstream website TMZ Sports for a discussion about the possibility of The New Day breaking up.

As noted, WWE has even fueled the speculation about The New Day breaking up in Monday and/or Tuesday night’s 2019 WWE Superstar Shake-up draft in a feature they released at WWE.com this weekend. This of course led to even more rumors that due to Kingston now being a WWE Champion with some legitimate individual momentum, mixed with the fact that it’s time for the WWE Superstar Shakeup where it could be done organically, as opposed to the forced-feeling faction dismantling that we have seen so many times over the years in WWE, now could be the time to break up the band.

At least for now.

According to the leader of the group and the current leader of WWE’s main roster blue team, as a decorated veteran in WWE who is currently the top dog as the WWE Champion of the SmackDown Live brand, The New Day will not be breaking up anytime soon as long as he has anything to say about the matter.

When asked during the TMZ Sports interview about the possibility of Big E. turning heel and The New Day breaking up, Kingston explained why that “just won’t happen.”

“I don’t understand why people say that, we’ve said since the beginning of time the philosophy of New Day is to lift your brother up, that is the goal,” Kingston told the celebrity-gossip media outlet. “I think the stereotypical path to take with all these factions, when somebody has success, one of them goes off and does something on their own. Someone wants success, one of them goes off on their own. That’s like very typical.”

Kingston added, “Anyone who has seen New Day on TV or whatever, is atypical. When we come out, we skip and clap, I twerk, I wear unicorn horns, we wear pink and blue, we throw pancakes out, ice cream, Booty-O’s. Everything is not your typical story, so for us to break up is the opposite of New Day, just doing the standard fair. It just won’t happen. Everything we do, we do together.”

The longtime veteran of WWE now has the chance to have a shot at a run as the top singles star on a top WWE main roster brand, and when asked what his plans are now that those are the playing conditions on the field, Kingston promised he has many ideas to implement that could make his run as WWE Champion “historic” and “legendary.”

“What I want to do is be a champion of the people and give them what they want,” Kingston told TMZ Sports. “Whether it be fantasy matches or whatever it is. I really want to be the best champion I can possibly be.”

He concluded, “It’s great to get here, obviously, now the true test beings and we want to make this championship reign not only historic, we want to make it legendary.”

Update On Daniel Bryan Injury, Pulled From Weekend House Shows

Former WWE champion Daniel Bryan has been pulled from this weekend’s WWE house shows that were taking place in Wisconsin and Minnesota. He hasn’t been seen on television since suffering an undisclosed injury at WrestleMania two weeks ago.

Updated advertising does have Bryan appearing at this Tuesday’s SmackDown Live in Lincoln Nebraska, where he is scheduled to face WWE champion Kofi Kingston in a dark match, although, the card is always subject to change.

We’ll keep you updated as this story develops.
