Hideo Itami Main Roster Debut Announced

It was announced in the latest edition of 205 Live! that the long-running rumors about NXT star Hideo Itami are true and that he is heading for the cruiserweight show. It had been rumored for a few weeks that the Japanese Star would get sent to the cruiserweight show on the main roster.
Itami made a name for himself as Kenta Kobayashi in the early 2000s wrestling for All Japan Pro Wrestling and Pro Wrestling NOAH. He was introduced to American fans after appearing for Ring of Honor several times and putting on some well talked about matches between 2005-2009, including having an incredible match with the future Daniel Bryan. He entered a WWE training camp (saying that he just wanted to take part in a WWE training camp but not get hired), and was hired by the WWE in 2014. He changed his name to Hideo Itami and started appearing for them in September of that year. After starting strong, Itami cooled after he was sidelined with a shoulder injury that he had trouble with as it healed improperly and extended his injury time to well over a year. He later tried to come back, only to suffer a neck injury four months later. He was out another six months before returning again in April of 2017, this time with a more heel character.
What the WWE will do with him on 205 Live! we will have to see.
