Viewership for this week’s episode of Raw rises up. It was a surprise to most people that this week’s episode of Raw generated an average of 2.864 million viewers. This is up approximately 4% from last week’s show despite strong competition, but this week’s show did feature the reuniting of The Shield. The Monday Night NFL game was able to garner 10.28 million viewers, while the MLB Yankees vs. Indians playoff game did 4.49 million viewers. Dancing with the Stars featuring WWE’s Nikki Bella did 9.11 million viewers.
Perhaps the biggest story in the WWE viewership numbers is the relatively strong performance from the third hour, which saw a significant drop on last Monday’s show. While viewers did tune out, the drop was not nearly as much as normal which could actually be attributed to WWE putting Enzo Amore in the final segment.
The hourly numbers were:
– Hour One = 3.01 million viewers
– Hour Two = 2.89 million viewers
– Hour Three = 2.71 million viewers
– DJ Z recently spoke with The Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling, here are the highlights…
On his new look and entrance attire: “I ended up in a lot of credit card debt because I was basically a prisoner of the Mexican hospitals and they would not release me from the hospital until I paid the full balance of the surgery. I paid with my credit card and am now thousands and thousands of dollars in debt and my only means of income is professional wrestling which I am unable to do because I am injured. When I’m back home and looking on the internet and browsing while thinking to myself already that I need to reinvent myself when I come back and I need to change the look up and step my game up and do something different. I found the light up costume online and thought to myself that is it. Nobody is going to have anything like that and when I saw the price tag on it, that nobody is going to be able to afford anything like that either. But I thought to myself that this is a gamble and I am already thousands and thousands of dollars in debt and this is a completely unnecessary big purchase especially since I couldn’t wrestle at the time but I looked at is as I am going to roll the dice and take a risk and put myself in even more debt. I am really glad that I did because the reaction every time I come out in that costume is a bigger reaction than I have gotten in my entire career and kids love it. When you go to these independent shows, kids constantly want to get pictures with me in the light up costume and I just think it adds an ambiance now. On the Indies we can’t have our own pyro and our own light shows but if you book me for your show than you are going to get some light shows for sure.”
On his current status with IMPACT Wrestling and the recent changes of management: “For me personally I am on the outside looking in. I haven’t been at IMPACT since March and actually am not 100% sure that I will be there in November yet so I really can’t speak much on how it has been going because I haven’t been there. I will say that all of the changes in management sometimes feels like a soap opera or I feel like it could be a reality show of the day to day running of IMPACT Wrestling because there is so much drama and so many changes and so many newsworthy things seem to happen weekly, monthly or what have you. Sometimes I wonder if instead of just having a wrestling show we should just have a reality show about the wrestling show.”
On Robbie E’s recent departure from IMPACT Wrestling: “That is a big loss for IMPACT. Believe it or not, Robbie E is an underrated wrestling mind (I will say that) I’ve learned so much over the years not just about wrestling but about the business of wrestling and he’s really got a mind for it. I can see him being an agent someday for some type of wrestling company. He has a lot to offer and maybe people don’t see that if they are just judging it on his in ring work but the guy knows his stuff when it comes to professional wrestling and is good morale for the locker room because everybody loved when Robbie was around and he was always cracking jokes. He just had an amazing ability that I wish that I personally had and that is that he can get over with literally anybody. It doesn’t matter if there is a language barrier, what your personality is or how polar opposite they may be, Robbie E can get along and get over with literally everybody and I wish I had that because he has amazing people skills.”
YouTube star Shane Dawson has apologised for “repulsive” comments he made about paedophilia which have resurfaced online.
The American vlogger, who has more than 11 million subscribers, has faced an online backlash after joking about a “justification for paedophilia” and searching “naked baby” on Google in an episode of his Shane And Friends podcast from 2012.
He issued an apology video, which quickly became YouTube’s top trending video with more than three million hits, after an edited version of the segment began circulating online.
“I cannot believe I am having to make this video, I cannot believe this is happening,” he says at the start of the video titled “Regarding the rumours about me today”.
“I’m going to start by saying I’m not a f——g paedophile. I want to go on record saying I’m not a f——g paedophile. Got it? Great.”
“I can’t believe I even have to say that,” he added on Twitter. “It literally feels like I’m in a nightmare.”
The 29-year-old added that all the jokes in the clip had been “taken out of context and has all the punchlines removed”.
no. that video is all jokes taken out of context and has all the punchlines removed. it also is illegal to claim someone is a pedofile and use 6 year old jokes as “proof”.
— Shane Dawson (@shanedawson) January 10, 2018
In the podcast, Dawson recounts an encounter with a young girl with more than 100,000 Instagram followers.
“She shows me her Instagrams which are like – first of all – I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this but, like, she’s, like sexy,” he tells his shocked co-host.
“Let me say, having sex with children, or touching children, or anything of that nature is terrible, and you should not do it,” he adds.
He then makes jokes about searching “naked baby” on Google, adding: “I don’t understand why anybody would be turned on by that.”
i’m not a pedophile. i can’t believe i even have to say that. it literally feels like i’m in a nightmare. https://t.co/i0mo11xNg3
— Shane Dawson (@shanedawson) January 10, 2018
In his apology video, Dawson denied actually performing the search, saying he was simply telling a joke.
His comments provoked a strong reaction on social media, with one commentator calling them “repulsive”.
“I don’t care if it’s taken out of context, or a joke, or whatever other b——t excuse he wants to use. Paedophilia is never a joke. Hearing someone talk about it so casually makes me sick to my stomach,” wrote @yoyolandaluna.
Another wrote: “Shane jokes a lot with dark humour, which can easily be taken the wrong way by people, but there are some things that he has said … that can be questionable in regards to children.”
“Some of the things he has said are disgusting and have definitely crossed a line,” commented @bethfletcher00.

Many of his fans defended the comments however, one wrote: “This is absolutely ridiculous and I doubt anyone actually believes it.”
The YouTuber also admitted making racially insensitive, homophobic and fat-shaming jokes earlier in his career, but says he is “not proud” of it and has now “changed so much as a person and as a creative”.
“I grew up. I changed my content,” he said. “I apologised countless times for my s—-y offensive jokes. Instead of dragging me down people should use me as an example of a creator who can CHANGE and better themselves and their content. I’m so proud of who I am today.”
A British couple say they are “lucky to be alive” after being stabbed and robbed as they climbed Table Mountain in South Africa.
Yvonne and Don Cormack, from Harlow in Essex, had been walking with among a group of seven fellow hikers on Saturday morning when two men suddenly pulled out knives and demanded they hand over some of their belongings, including their mobile phones.
Those who refused were then stabbed, and the attackers smashed their heads with rocks. The incident is said to have happened 30 minutes into the climb.
Mr Cormack, 71, was still in hospital yesterday getting treatment for nine knife wounds while his wife, 67, was also stabbed as she tried to protect her husband. She suffered cuts to her neck and arm as she hit one of the robbers with a walking stick.
One of the hikers was in a critical condition, after his head was hit with a rock.
“I have been hiking on the mountain for two years and it is the first time something like this has happened. We are lucky to be alive. I won’t forget that knife coming at me and cutting into my skin," Mrs Cormack told South African newspaper Cape Argus.

They were rescued when another group of walkers, which included a doctor, found them on the mountain. Mr Cormack was airlifted to hospital. The couple are understood to have recently moved to Cape Town because they are keen hikers.
The South African National Parks authority, which runs the Table Mountain National Park, said that it had stepped up patrols following an increase in recent muggings. Two people have been arrested in connection with another incident.
In the meantime, surveillance has also been upped and observation points have been set up to monitor who is going up and down the mountain.
SANParks spokesperson Merle Collins stressed the public should be aware following the recent spate of incidents.
“To this point Table Mountain National Park has appointed a visitor safety team whose role it is to keep crime to a minimum in the national park,” she said.
“Management would like to caution the public not to take the law into their own hands and not to interfere in any official law enforcement duties.”
On a bitterly cold night just outside Pittsburgh hundreds of newly energised Democrats trudged through the snow and packed into a chilly brick building.
They were there for the opening of their candidate Conor Lamb’s latest field office, and to see the beginnings of what they hope will be a political earthquake that sends tremors all the way to Washington.
Pennsylvania’s 18th Congressional district is up for grabs in a special election on March 13 after Tim Murphy, the sitting Republican, resigned in disgrace. The pro-life congressman was accused of asking his mistress to have an abortion.
It had been such a Republican area that Democrats did not even field a candidate against Mr Murphy in 2012…

Donald Trump was elected on a pledge to "make America great again" – a feat, he said, he would achieve by boosting the economy; taking a tough stance against foreign allies and cutting immigration.
On his first anniversary of entering into office, what has happened to each of President Trump’s campaign promises?
Build a border wall
Mr Trump insists his border wall with Mexico is still happening, but has accepted it will not all be made up of a physical barrier.
While illegal border crossing arrests are at a 47-year low, Mr Trump has yet to get any money for the wall’s construction signed off from Congress.
We must have Security at our VERY DANGEROUS SOUTHERN BORDER, and we must have a great WALL to help protect us, and to help stop the massive inflow of drugs pouring into our country!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 16, 2018
Earlier this month it was reported that the administration had asked Congress for nearly $18 billion to fund the project.
‘Massive’ tax cuts
Mr Trump has delivered America’s biggest tax cut in 30 years, his most significant legislative win during his time in office so far.
I promised that my policies would allow companies like Apple to bring massive amounts of money back to the United States. Great to see Apple follow through as a result of TAX CUTS. Huge win for American workers and the USA! https://t.co/OwXVUyLOb1
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 17, 2018
However, claims it is the "biggest ever" have been proved wrong, according to analysis. Despite being sold as a boon for the average American, it is estimated that big corporations (whose tax rate has dropped from 35 to 21 per cent) and high earners will see the most benefit.
Muslim ban
Mr Trump’s promise to stop all Muslim immigration into the US was watered down even before the election. During the campaign Mr Trump called for "a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States", but conceded the next day that the policy would not apply to all Muslims.
Within their first week in office, the Trump administration suspended immigrants from seven Muslim-majority countries. After repeated legal challenges and three re-writings of the directive, a version of the ban is in place – for now.
Paris climate agreement
The US president kept his vow to pull out of the Paris accord, which aims to prevent global temperatures from rising by 2C above pre-industrial levels, but has hinted he may return.

During the election campaign, Mr Trump said he would "cancel" the agreement and "stop all payments of US tax dollars to UN global warming programs". Instead, he promised to boost America’s coal, oil and shale industries by lifting restrictions on drilling.
But in a news conference with French president Emmanuel Macron last week, he said: "Frankly, it’s an agreement that I have no problem with, but I had a problem with the agreement that they signed, because, as usual, they made a bad deal."
Repeal Obamacare
In 2016, Mr Trump said: "My first day in office, I’m going to ask Congress to put a bill on my desk getting rid of this disastrous law… You’re going to have such great health care at a tiny fraction of the cost. It’s going to be so easy."
He failed spectacularly to live up to the pledge in his first six months after Republican senators voted down the repeal bill.
However, at the end of last year Mr Trump succeeded in recalling a key part of it – individual mandate, which effectively forces people to get health insurance – and has set in place a series of measures to undermine Obamacare.
$1 trillion in infrastructure
The Trump campaign’s $1 trillion infrastructure plan fell by the wayside in 2017 but is thought to be next on the legislative agenda for 2018.
A train derailment in Washington state which killed 3 and injured 62 last month shone a light on the issue, something Mr Trump recognised, tweeting that it showed the need for his “soon to be submitted infrastructure plan”.
The train accident that just occurred in DuPont, WA shows more than ever why our soon to be submitted infrastructure plan must be approved quickly. Seven trillion dollars spent in the Middle East while our roads, bridges, tunnels, railways (and more) crumble! Not for long!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 18, 2017
The president has indicated he wants bipartisan support for any measures, which could prove successful given that Democrats tend to be in favour of more funding, but it is unlikely to happen before the midterm elections.
Bring back waterboarding
Mr Trump campaigned on a promise to bring back the banned intelligence service practice of waterboarding on suspects, saying "I would bring back waterboarding, and I’d bring back a hell of a lot worse than waterboarding”.
He appears to have abandoned the idea, and has since commented that he had heard arguments that torture was not effective.
Moving US embassy to Jerusalem
Last year Mr Trump followed through on his campaign promise to to recognise Jerusalem as the Israeli-capital, upending 70 years of US policy and triggering international outrage.
However the move, which outraged Palestine and other Middle Eastern countries, means his ambition to bring peace to the region seem as far away as it ever was.
Tear up ‘bad’ trade deals
Mr Trump pulled the US out of the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement within days of taking office.
He has yet to formally pull out of the North American Free Trade Agreement, but is aggressively renegotiating its terms, prompting others to predict the US will withdraw soon.
However, despite his oft-repeated campaign threat to brand China a currency manipulator, he has yet to impose penalties on Chinese imports or take steps towards realigning their trade relationship.
Instead Mr Trump has used the threat of punishing trade relationships as leverage to get Beijing to put political pressure on North Korea.
Mr Trump also promised to impose a 35 percent tariff on goods from US companies that ship production abroad – which he has not followed through with.
Destroying Isil
The American-led coalition has had a string of victories against the Islamic State (Isil) including retaking vast swathes of territory.

Mr Trump has lauded the victories although critics say Barack Obama’s administration laid the groundwork for the success with its strategy of working with local forces.
However the terrorist group still remains a potent force, successfully recruiting jihadists abroad, and Mr Trump has pledged to keep US troops in the region until Syria’s civil war reaches a political settlement.
Leave Afghanistan
During the campaign Mr Trump made a play of attacking former president George Bush’s foreign wars and questioning why US troops were in the country. However, he appeared to cave to establishment pressure in August and agreed to send around 3,500 more troops to the country.
“My original instinct was to pull out, and historically I like to follow my instincts,” Mr Trump said of his policy U-turn.
“I heard that decisions are much different when you sit behind the desk of the Oval Office.”
Iran nuclear deal
Mr Trump has failed to scrap the Iran nuclear deal despite calling it the "worst deal ever". However he has started a collision course which could still bring it down.
Better relations with Russia
During the campaign Mr Trump praised Vladimir Putin’s leadership, suggested they could work together to end the Syrian civil war and urged warmer relations between their two nations.

But the cloud of the investigation into Russian meddling in the US election and the influence of senior generals has led to a more traditional stance on Russia. Moreover, Russia still remains at logger heads with the US-led allied coalition over Syria.
Mr Trump has also hardened his stance on Nato, putting pressure on allies to increase their military spending.
Slap tariffs on China and Mexico
Mexico was a focal point of Mr Trump’s campaign and he threatened to put a 35 per cent tariff on goods made in Mexico but sold in the US.
Mr Trump made similar trade threats to China but has held off a trade war with the nation in the hope that they can work on North Korea together.
Stop North Korea’s nuclear programme
Kim Jong-Un has engaged in a war of words with Donald Trump
Mr Trump has dramatically increased pressure on the regime in Pyongyang, forcing through tighter economic sanctions, particularly through the UN, and engaging in a heated war of words with its leader.
However, North Korea insists it will continue to test nuclear weapons and recently claimed it will soon have missiles capable of reaching the US mainland. It is unclear where the talks between Mr Trump and Kim Jong-Un will lead, but global watchers fear a nuclear war cannot be definitively ruled out.
Cut red tape
Mr Trump followed through with his promise to cut red tape, making one of his first executive orders a requirement for agencies to scrap two regulations for every new one they put in place.
In December Mr Trump renewed his pledge to cut regulation, saying: "In 1960, there were approximately 20,000 pages in the Code of Federal Regulations. Today, there are over 185,000 page".
To date, however, the administration says it has only cancelled or delayed 1,500 rules.
Bring back jobs and boost the economy
Mr Trump centered his presidential campaign on how his business credentials would help him boost the economy. The Dow Jones Industrial Average has increased by more than 28 per cent since Mr Trump’s election, the highest since 1945 and unemployment is at its lowest level since 1973.
But critics claim the economic recovery is simply following a trend that began under the last months of the Obama administration for which Mr Trump is simply reaping the reward.
The nationalist Alternative for Germany party (AfD) was in shock on Wednesday after one of its better known activists converted to Islam.
Arthur Wagner said he had resigned his party membership after deciding to become a Muslim.
The AfD became the first nationalist party to win seats in the German parliament since the sixties last year, after campaigning on an openly anti-Muslim platform.
The party’s election slogans included “Islam does not belong in Germany” and warnings against what it calls the “Islamisation” of the country.
Mr Wagner was a leading AfD activist in the state of Brandenburg, one of the party’s heartlands in the former communist east, and was heavily involved in campaigning…

Click Here: camiseta river plate
