Entertainment gives viewers an up close and personal look at the lives of WWE® Superstars, The Bella Twins, when “Total Bellas” returns for an emotionally-charged new season Wednesday, September 6 at 9:00pm ET/PT. The eight, one-hour episodes will once again give viewers an exclusive look inside their lives, including their evolving professional careers, romances and family lives as Nikki Bella and John Cena temporarily relocate to Phoenix, AZ to help Brie Bella and Daniel Bryan through their first pregnancy.
Season two of “Total Bellas” kicks-off with Nikki and John’s in-ring return to WWE, while Brie and Daniel are in need of extra support as they enter the final weeks leading up to the arrival of baby Birdie. This season also follows Nikki on her road to WrestleMania® as she prepares for her dream tag-team match alongside John, all while balancing twin sister duties and being there for Brie as she prepares to become a mother. With Daniel back on the road with WWE as the General Manager of SmackDown® Live and John’s career in Hollywood rising, The Bellas’ bond is put to the test, but they grow stronger than ever. The sisters go head-to-head with an exhilarating pregnancy and an emotional road to a long-awaited proposal as they step into the next chapter of their ever-changing lives.
Later this fall, The Bellas will return to the fan-favorite E! series “Total Divas,” which will premiere its seventh season, following the explosive season six finale. The new season will introduce fans to WWE Superstars Carmella, Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss. Natalya (Nattie), Maryse, Lana and Naomi (Trinity) round out the season seven cast. “Total Divas” gives viewers a beyond-the-ropes look into how these strong, influential women juggle life on the road with their personal and romantic lives.

According to ShowBuzzDaily.com, this week’s edition of WWE Smackdown Live, featuring AJ Styles vs Kevin Owens, plus the hyped John Cena vs Shinsuke Nakamura “dream match”, averaged 2.569 million viewers. This is up from last week’s 2.535 million viewership average.

Comparatively, this week’s edition of WWE Raw averaged 3.163 million viewers, up from last week’s 3.067 million viewership average. Both WWE shows saw viewership increases this week, and had several big bouts/segments advertised ahead of time.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – On the back of two pins, Augustana opened the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference dual season with a 38-6 win over the University of Mary. The Vikings were spotted a big lead with U-Mary having open spots at the 197- and 285-pound weight classes and took six of the other eight bouts.

Augustana (5-2, 1-0 NSIC) tallied eight two-point near falls and recorded two major decisions in their conference opener. The Vikings allowed just three takedowns an scored 19 of their own to pave the way to vitory.

Once again, TJ North started the Vikings off with a major decision win, taking down Hunter Menendez 15-3 in the 125-pound bout. North held a 5-0 advantage after two periods and used four takedowns in the final period to win 15-3.

Blake Jans (33 pounds) raced out to a 6-0 lead after the first minute and eventually broke through with a pin at 2:27 to put the Vikings up 10-0 after two bouts. Jacob Anderson (141 pounds) and Alec Lindsay traded second-period reversals for a 2-2 tie entering the third period. Anderson scored on a takedown and reversal in the third period and won 9-5.

In the bout of the night, Shawn Hatlestad was matched up with Trevor Johnson who was ranked seventh nationally at 149 pounds. Both wrestlers earned a point with escapes after electing to start the second and third period on bottom, but Johnson scored a third-period takedown and Hatlestad couldn’t score after he escaped and lost 3-2.

Bradyn Neises gave the Vikings a 17-3 lead entering intermission with a 17-7 major decision win at 157 pounds. Neises scored nine points in the final period, using four takedowns to earn his first major decision of the year.

Matched up a 165 pounds Parker Swanson battled regionally-ranked Brock Krumm, but couldn’t break through, losing a 7-5 decision. Swanson was down 4-1 after the first period and trailed 5-3 after two periods, but Krumm prevailed to draw the Marauders three points closer at 17-6.

Tim Weber and John DeVito were deadlocked at 1-1 after three periods after each wrestler scored on an escape in the 174-pound bout. Early in overtime, Weber scored on a takedown while barely staying in the circle and won 3-1, putting the Vikings up 20-6.

Sean Derry capped off Augustana’s big win with a pin of U-Mary’s Riley Nagel just over 30 seconds into the second period. Derry held a 6-2 lead after the opening period and finished Nagel with his third pin of the season.

Jayd Docken (197 pounds) and Michael Lowman (285 pounds) won by forfeit to give Augustana a 38-6 win.

The Vikings are now idle until Jan. 4, when they host Concordia-Moorhead at the Elmen Center at 7 p.m.

Viewership numbers for this week’s episode of WWE Raw is in and it was more good news with the company building towards WWE SummerSlam. The show was watched by an average of 3.235 million viewers, this is up from last week’s show which averaged 3.16 million. It was the most watched Raw since the April Superstar Shakeup.
Raw was the first for total viewers on cable, second on the night in the 18-49 demographic and the first again in the 25-54 group.
The hourly numbers were:

– Hour One = 3.263 million
– Hour Two = 3.314 million
– Hour Three = 3.144 million

NXT Star Drew McIntyre appears on X-Pac’s podcast recently and spoke of NXT. The big news, of course, is that he revealed former Ring of Honor Promoter Gabe Sapolsky is now working for the WWE in the NXT brand, as was reported earlier. Here is what else Drew had to say:
Gabe Sapolsky working in NXT:
He’s fantastic. He thinks so far ahead. He always just gets me…He’s in NXT now. He’s able to help me out. Gabe is able to say ’hey if we give you a mic in the ring that’s like a stronger area for a guy who really wasn’t a promo guy before.”

Why NXT Takeover will top Summerslam:
“NXT Takeover, is only four times a year, they’re always a spectacle, everyone busts their ass. And we’ve got like a silent competition, I’ll say it. Summerslam is the next day…we wanna top Summerslam. We’re gonna top Summerslam.”
Being the “John Cena of NXT”:
“Just think of me as your John Cena of NXT. If there is something going on & someone doesn’t want to do it, then I’m your guy. I’m doing this, I’m happy. It’s nothing fake, I generally do enjoy this.”

Preferring to be on NXT instead of the main roster:
“Just the buzz in the locker room, just the way the shows are put together. How much your opinion is valued. It’s a team effort, and that’s how it feels just one big team effort. I didn’t want to be on RAW or Smackdown, I said that publicly before. I wanted to be apart of NXT, and Hunter bringing me into his baby, wanting me to be apart of it is such a huge honor.”
Spending time at the Performance Center with Shawn Michaels:

“It’s not something I’ve spoken about publicly yet but Shawn Michaels teaches pro wrestling at the Performance Center. And when I came in with the contract I have I don’t technically have to be there. I mean I’m fortunate with the deal I have but then you’ve got that opportunity you’re in that position then it’s up to you. You know, whether you want to sit on your ass or you have the opportunity to work with the best in ring wrestler of all time. It is literally like studying for your Ph.D. in wrestling.”

NXT Women’s Champion Asuka has been on an impressive roll since coming over to WWE. She has been undefeated since debuting in NXT, surpassing even Goldberg’s legendary undefeated streak. Earlier today though, as of midnight, she officially became the longest reigning WWE champion of any kind in decades. Asuka has surpassed Rockin’ Robin’s 502 days record as WWF Women’s Champion from back in the day. Other reigns that she has yet to surpass include Pedro Morales, Bob Backlund, Hulk Hogan, and the incredibly-lengthy title reigns of Bruno Sammartino. Her title and undefeated streak are on the line at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III this Saturday night as she faces Ember Moon.
Yesterday, GFW’s Tyrus posted a message and video on his social media pages suggesting that he may be looking to leave the company. He claimed that he will be missing the upcoming TV tapings because the company has been mistreating him as of late and that he will not be coming back until he gets the treatment that he feels entitled to by the company. It is now unclear whether or not this is part of a storyline of some sort. GFW did release a tweet today revealing that Bruce Prichard will address the situation with Tyrus on tonight’s Destination X show. It is rare for wrestling companies to address such serious real-life issues on the air, so this may indicate that the issue involving Tyrus may just be an elaborate work.
“The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero has settled down his wrestling career quite a bit over these past few years, instead choosing to work as a commentator in Global Force Wrestling. He has been doing the gig for a few years now, but could he actually be on the way out? Dinero put out a statement on all of his social media platforms that seemed a bit vague and too interpretive to mean that he is indeed leaving, but he also included a snapshot of himself in the Impact ring with text reading “Thank You & Farewell” written over it. It may be a sign that he has either left or will be leaving the company very soon. If he does leave, he joins Angelina Love, Davey Richards, Brandi Rhodes, Magnus, Matt Morgan, and plenty of others in the list of superstars who have left GFW over this past summer.

No Mercy will be WWE’s next PPV event and this will be a Raw Branded event. No Mercy will emanate from The Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on September 24, 2017. As early as now, there are already matches being speculated for the PPV. Some of these matches include John Cena vs. Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe vs. The Miz.
The match between John Cena and Roman Reigns was expected to happen later on, but WWE clearly put the emphasis on them last Monday night on Raw whereas The Miz looks like he needs a new opponent after the failed program with Jason Jordan.
If Samoa Joe vs. The Miz pushes through, it was suggested that Samoa Joe will probably end up winning the Intercontinental title.

Charlotte stepped away from the action a few weeks ago when Ric Flair was brought to the hospital with abdominal pain and was put into a medically induced coma in preparation for surgery that appears to have been to remove part of his bowel and other medical issues, including his kidney’s failing. She flew to Atlanta to be by his side and stayed with him until he was brought out of the coma and was cutting promos on the nursing staff.
Her returning to the road, and as she tweeted, to Smackdown Live, is a good sign that Ric is recovering at a good rate at this point. While nothing specific has been said, it is reported his kidneys still haven’t recovered and there are also reports that Ric had an external heart pacemaker hooked up, possibly to set up an internal pacemaker when he has recovered more from his medical emergency.
