Proof that Ariana Grande’s New Song “Ghostin'” Is About Mac Miller…and Pete Davidson

It’s been less than 24 hours since Ariana Grande dropped her latest album “Thank U, Next,” and one particular song already has fans buzzing on social media with theories behind its meaning.

The track “Ghostin'” according to the Twitterverse is about two of Ariana’s exes — Mac Miller and Pete Davidson — and the evidence is pretty compelling.

Before diving into the lyrics, it appears that Grande’s new song is set to a similar beat as Mac’s “2009.” Listen for yourself:

Also, the lyrics themselves are quite revealing, with many thinking Ariana is referring to the impact Miller’s death had on her relationship with Davidson. “Though I wish he were here instead / Don’t want that living in your head / He just comes to visit me / When I’m dreaming every now and then,” sings Ariana at one point.

Meanwhile, the chorus is also pretty telling: “I know that it breaks your heart when I cry again / Over him, mmh / I know that it breaks your heart when I cry again / ‘Stead of ghostin’ him.”

Need more proof? Ahead of the song’s official release, Ariana told a fan that “Ghostin'” was about “feeling badly for the person you’re with bc you love somebody else. Feeling badly bc he can tell he can’t compare…and how I should be ghosting him.”

Miley Cyrus Basically Posted an Entire Wedding Album on Instagram

In what may be the swerviest Valentine’s Day move, ever, Miley Cyrus gave us all a gift. In a series of Instagram posts, the newlywed basically shared an entire wedding album, giving her followers a close-up look at the flowers, her custom-made Vivienne Westwood dress, and, of course, her groom Liam Hemsworth.

She poured on the love in the photos, with sugary-sweet captions and a slew of affectionate emoji. In the snaps, some of which are black and white, the couple can be seen hugging and kissing, and generally having a great time.

“My Valentine every single day @liamhemsworth,” she wrote on one.

“Thank you for always bending down to hug me…I promise I will always meet you in the middle on my tippiest toes! I love you Valentine! @liamhemsworth,” she wrote on another.

A trio of photos shows Cyrus’s silky gown, which has a few Westwood signatures, like a draped bodice and romantic, easy elegance. The flowing dress features an off-the-shoulder silhouette and what looks like a subtle sweetheart neck.

In one full-length shot, fans can see a peek of Hemsworth’s Vans sneakers, which seem to reflect the mood of the whole event. Easy and casual, there’s no over-the-top princess dress or formality. Instead, both bride and groom just seem focused on each other and having a great time.

The photos are clear evidence that everything Hemsworth revealed on his latest appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan was totally true. He told the hosts that the event was low-key, casual, and special. Looks like every box was checked.

“We never wanted to do anything too extravagant or big,” he said. “We just wanted to — you know, we find the whole thing kind of embarrassing. We know how we feel about each other, but we just wanted to do something simple and organic and just with basically, immediate family. But it was a really nice day. Really, really special.”

Here’s What Happened to All Those Flowers from Meghan Markle’s Baby Shower

As for the flowers? PEOPLE reports that Markle looked to a company called Repeat Roses, which helped distribute the florals to locations including Ronald McDonald House Charities of New York, Hope Lodge and Unique People Services, each of which serve patients in need of care.

This isn’t the first time Markle has opted to recycle her decorations for a good cause, either; after the wedding, those arrangements were also gifted to local hospices in the U.K.

Rangers vs Celtic: TV channel, live stream, team news & preview

Steven Gerrard’s side go chasing a third successive home win in the Glasgow derby on Sunday

Rangers meet Celtic at Ibrox in the 2019-20 season’s first Old Firm match this weekend.

Both Glasgow sides were left celebrating in midweek as they won through to the group stages of the Europa League in contrasting fashion.

Neil Lennon’s side cruised through with a convincing 4-1 win over AIK in Stockholm, while Rangers needed a last-gasp Alfredo Morelos goal to dispatch Legia Warsaw and seal a spot in the pools for the second successive season.

Will the feel-good factor around Steven Gerrard’s men continue, or will their neighbours spoil the party?

Game Rangers vs Celtic

Rangers and Celtic both head into the opening Old Firm game of the season at Ibrox on Sunday in buoyant mood.

The two Glasgow giants produced impressive performances in midweek to move through into the Europa League group stages, the Gers creating history by doing so as they became the first club to negotiate every qualifying round to reach that point in successive seasons.

Although manager Steven Gerrard has previously said that the board of the Ibrox club have set Europe as their main goal, unseating eight-time defending Scottish champions Celtic must be to the forefront of their plans, too.

Rangers have shown that they mean business this term, winning all three of their opening league fixtures while juggling their European commitments, yet they find themselves trailing their rivals on goal difference.

If Celtic have looked vulnerable at the back, they have been prolific going the other way, scoring an impressive 15 goals.

They have not, however, netted on either of their last two trips to Ibrox, where they have suffered successive defeats.

Neil Lennon, however, is optimistic that his side have the potential to end that run and reassert their dominance over their neighbours.

“We are in powerful form, particularly going forward,” he said. “The defence is looking like players are getting up to speed with how we play and more familiar with their surroundings.

“I’d be delighted to keep a clean sheet. I’d fancy our chances to nick a goal or two.

“We have a lot to look forward to going into the game.”

Gerrard, meanwhile, is bullish about the hosts’ chances amid a surge of confidence in the blue half of the city.

“I think when I first came in there was a fear of Celtic,” he said. “The supporters, I also predict some of the players, feared these fixtures. I think over the course of the 12 months we’ve proved that is no longer the case and on our day we’re a good match for Celtic.

“It was always going to take time to close that gap but I think the fixture last year, the Christmas one where we beat them 1-0, lifted a lot of fear and gave us a lot of confidence and belief that, if we find the right level of performance, we are a match for anyone, certainly at Ibrox.

“That’s what gives us confidence going into this fixture.”

With the international break looming, a victory would be a huge shot in the arm for either side.

'Many things can happen' – Sporting unsure over Fernandes' future with Real Madrid circling

Sporting’s star player could still be set to leave the club in the coming days with Real Madrid targeting the attacker

Sporting manager Marcel Keizer is hoping star captain Bruno Fernandes will remain with the club once the transfer window closes but concedes it could be outside of their control.

Fernandes has been linked with a move away throughout the window and the Portugal international recently revealed he agreed to join Tottenham only for Sporting to block the transfer.

The 24-year-old was also strongly linked to Manchester United, while he has since emerged as a target for Real Madrid prior to Monday’s deadline.

Keizer was asked about Fernandes’ future following Saturday’s shock loss to Rio Ave and admits it’s become a waiting game with deadline day approaching.

“We have to wait until Monday. Hopefully he will stay,” Keizer said.

“Many things can happen. We are not in a position to be able to decide.”

Fernandes – who netted 20 goals and supplied 13 assists in the Primeira Liga last season – scored in the 3-2 defeat to Rio Ave in Lisbon.

Uruguay international and former Liverpool defender Sebastian Coates conceded three penalties and was sent off as Sporting crashed to their first league defeat of the campaign.

Filipe Augusto converted a sixth-minute penalty following Coates’ foul before Sporting hit back through Fernandes and Luiz Phellype, who put the hosts ahead eight minutes into the second half.

However, Coates gave away two penalties during the final four minutes and was subsequently sent off for a second yellow card as Rio Ave emerged triumphant.

“I have no opinion, the referee decided and I can do nothing,” Keizer said when asked about the three penalties.

“I only have an opinion about my team. We didn’t play enough. If we had had more ball after 2-1 it could have been different.”

With the club reeling from a surprise defeat, they may need to prepare themselves for the loss of Fernandes with Fiorentina’s sporting director Daniele Prade claiming he will be moving to Madrid in a deal worth €70 million.

Fernandes has been with Sporting since 2017 when he joined from Sampdoria with the attacker earning his first cap for Portugal not long after.

Coutinho believes he can better at Bayern Munich after first Bundesliga start

The Brazilian star is hopeful of shining even brighter in Germany as he grows into playing with the Bundesliga giants

Fresh from his first Bundesliga start for Bayern Munich, Philippe Coutinho has declared he can get even better in Germany.

The Brazilian international joined Niko Kovac’s side on loan from Barcelona after failing to fully impress at Camp Nou.

Swapping Spain for Germany, the 27-year-old believes he’s in an even better environment to reach his full potential.

“There are a lot of good players, top players and great players [here],” Coutinho told Bundesliga.com after Bayern’s 6-1 win over Mainz.

“I’m really happy to be here so that I can learn from them and get better.”

Coutinho is being eased into Bayern’s set-up having previously made his club debut off the bench in a 3-0 win over Schalke.

“We want to build Philippe up and the opportunity presented itself here at home to put him in the starting line-up,” Kovac said.

“He had some good moments, especially on the ball. He played one or two really good passes in behind the defence and we created a great chance from one of them.

“We know he’s not 100 per cent fit yet, so we planned to give him 60 to 70 minutes here. He’ll regain his fitness by playing. I’m happy with his performance, but I know he’ll improve.”

Coutinho arrives in the Bundesliga after just 18 months in La Liga with Barcelona where he was unable to win over the Catalan faithful.

Netting just five league goals last season, Coutinho admitted his time with Barca didn’t go to script but was nonetheless invaluable.

“Concerning Barcelona, things didn’t work out the way we wanted,” Coutinho said.

“Within those years I did have great experiences. I learnt a lot, won a lot with that club and then we had the Copa America, which I won with Brazil and that was really important.

“Now I have a chance at a new club, a big club. I hope I’ll be here for a long time and win lots of titles.”

Following the international break, Bayern will take on current league leaders Red Bull Leipzig away with a win enough to return them to the Bundesliga summit.

Boost for Chelsea with Hudson-Odoi nearing a return to action

The Blues’ teenage star hopes to be playing again in a few weeks after recovering from injury, handing his new boss a significant boost

After a mixed start to the Premier League season for Chelsea, Frank Lampard’s side are set for a welcomed boost with Callum Hudson-Odoi nearing a return to action.

The 18-year-old attacker has been sidelined since April when he ruptured his Achilles in a 2-2 draw against Burnley.

It was an otherwise breakthrough season for Hudson-Odoi, who scored four times in the Europa League for the Blues as they went on to claim the title.

Given a full pre-season to focus on recovery, the teenager revealed just how close he is to a return, with Chelsea struggling for consistency early on in the season.

“Recovery has gone really well and I feel good,” Hudson-Odoi told Sky Sports News.

“Hopefully I can be back after the international break. We have to just get things going and hopefully everything goes to plan.

“I was scared it could take longer but really recovery has gone very well and I am really happy everything has gone to plan.

“Now I just can’t wait to get back on the pitch and start playing again.”

The Blues have won just one of their first four league games under Lampard, squandering a 2-0 lead on Saturday as they drew 2-2 with Sheffield United.

While Lampard has failed to hit the ground running on his return to Stamford Bridge, Hudson-Odoi is looking forward to being given a chance to shine under him.

“He is a top manager, I’ve said it from the start. He’s there and he’s giving youth a chance,” he said.

“He says to us if you work hard and believe in yourself you will get your chance.”

Lampard himself has expressed his excitement at being able to soon unleash the England attacker.

“The injury looks good which is the great news,” Lampard said in August.

“Then he’s going to have to be fitter than he’s ever been because I’m going to want him to run!”

Currently ninth in the Premier League, Chelsea will return to action after the international break with an away match against Wolves on September 14.

Kovac laments lethargic Bayern despite Mainz mauling

The Bavarian giants cantered to victory after going behind to the bottom club in the German top tier, but their head coach was unimpressed

Niko Kovac was unimpressed with Bayern Munich’s lack of energy despite the Bundesliga champions thumping Mainz 6-1.

Jean-Paul Boetius silenced the Allianz Arena on Saturday with the opening goal in the sixth minute.

New arrivals Philippe Coutinho and Ivan Perisic were handed their first starts and the Croatia international set up Benjamin Pavard for the equaliser half an hour after Mainz’s opener.

David Alaba’s stunner put Bayern in front, then Perisic scored a header before Kingsley Coman, Robert Lewandowski and substitute Alphonso Davies secured an ultimately emphatic victory.

Kovac, though, was criticial of Bayern’s start despite collecting a first home win of the season after being held by Hertha Berlin in their opener.

“We were too lethargic until the first cooling break,” Kovac told Bayern’s official club website.

“We didn’t find a reply to Mainz’s aggression, we thought it would be easy. Then our passing was quicker, we lured our opponents into the centre and had good moves on the wings.

“David Alaba’s goal before the break was crucial. It was over when we scored our fourth goal. We go into the two-week international break happy.”

Alaba’s brilliant free-kick proved a key moment in the game and the Austria international agreed with Kovac’s assessment of the game.

“We struggled to get into the game in the first 20 minutes; we weren’t aggressive enough, we weren’t quick enough,” Alaba added.

“We also made a few mistakes, it’s difficult then. Mainz did a very good job. We got a grip after the first cooling break.

“I’m proud to be part of this team. Everyone hits the gas in training, you can see everyone loves football. And when we put it into practice as a unit at the weekend it’s great of course.”

The international break offers a chance for Mainz to regroup, with Sandro Schwarz’s side bottom of the table having conceded 12 goals in three games, scoring only twice.

“There’s no point lamenting and creating unrest, not for us, not for the club,” said Mainz defender Alexander Hack. “We must keep going, we now have two weeks to question things and to work.”
