Camilla will be played by actress Emerald Fennel, who has mixed emotions about her casting. “I’m absolutely over the moon and completely terrified,” she says, according a tweet from the show’s account. 

“To be joining so many hugely talented people on The Crown. I absolutely love Camilla, and am very grateful that my teenage years have well prepared me for playing a chain-smoking serial snogger with a pudding bowl hair cut.”

“It’s important,” a source at the wedding previously told People of the princess bride’s decision not to cover up the mark. “If she hadn’t had that operation, she wouldn’t be able to walk — and here she was, walking down the aisle, so it was a seismic moment.”

In a June Instagram post, Eugenie opened up about her scoliosis diagnosis as a child. She posted a photo of her X-rays, which show the 8-inch rods doctors inserted into her spine and the 1.5-inch screws at the top of her neck after an 8-hour operation she endured.

Gushing over her daughter’s happy union, Fergie shared that the couple “are just meant to be.”

“He will be the best consort there is, as Prince Albert was to Queen Victoria. I know it will be that sort of love match,” she added.

During the interview, the mother of two also had nothing but kind words to say about her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, 58.

“We’re the happiest divorced couple in the world. We’re divorced to each other, not from each other,” she said.

Andrew and the Fergie wed on July 23, 1986 before welcoming their daughters Princess Beatrice, 30, and Eugenie. The pair announced their separation in March 1992 before officially divorcing four years later.

Since splitting, the parents have maintained a very amicable relationship — and Fergie actually lives at Andrew’s royal residence, Royal Lodge, in Windsor.

In fact, Fergie told People in a 2011 article that she and Andrew get along so well that she’s asked her daughters, “Do you think Mummy and Papa should get back together again? And they say, ‘You’re great the way you are now; it’s fine.’”

Just when it looked like things had started heating up between Jennifer Garner and her reported businessman boyfriend, John Miller, they now appear to be “slowing down.”

Initial reports from Us Weekly implied that the couple’s budding romance was “getting serious,” but according to sources at ET, the 46-year-old has pressed pause for the time being.

“Jen has slowed things down with John Miller since word got out that they were dating,” ET’s source said. “Jen’s children, career and Ben [Affleck] are her main focus at the moment and she is not ready for anything too serious.”

The actress was first linked to Miller, 40, who runs CaliGroup, back in October, three years after splitting from husband Ben Affleck. The couple’s divorce was finalized in November, but perhaps the 13 Going on 30 star wasn’t quite ready to re-enter the dating world just yet.

A source told the outlet that Garner supposedly “doesn’t want to be deeply committed at the moment.”

“She wants to focus on family, career, and getting Ben back on track. She enjoys her time with John but she has concerns of moving quickly because she doesn’t want to be disappointed,” the source adds. “Her friends are in full support of her stepping back a bit because they all know relationship take a lot of work and right now her plate is full.”

Since Affleck left his third stint in alcohol rehab back in October, Garner has been busy acting as a support system for her former spouse, communicating with the 46-year-old “almost daily” as he “leans on her a lot.”

Despite the fact that they are no longer together, there is no bad blood between them. The pair, who share three children together (Violet, 12, Seraphina, 9, and Samuel, 6), make an effort to frequently spend time together, even celebrating Thanksgiving as a family. 

Per ET’s report, “The good news is that they work incredibly hard on keeping their family unit working for the children, despite the fact they are no longer married.”

For the first (and probably last) time, Meghan Markle and Donald Trump are facing off. No, the Duchess of Sussex is not running for president, nor is The Donald wooing Prince Harry. Instead, both parties are in contention for an honor of sorts (depending on who you ask): Time’s 2018 Person of the Year.

The ultimate Person of the Year (a title that’s determined by who’s “had the biggest impact on the world, for better or for worse”) will be one of the ten figures named to Time’s shortlist on Monday morning. As exclusively revealed by Today, the candidates are as follows:

1. President Donald Trump

3. Vladimir Putin

4. Robert Mueller

5. Ryan Coogler

6. Christine Blasey Ford

7. Jamal Khashoggi

8. March for Our Lives Activists

9. Moon Jae-in

Trump was Time’s Person of the Year in 2016, and Putin wore the title in 2007. Last year’s honor was bestowed upon the women who contributed to the Time’s Up and #MeToo movements, the so-termed “Silence Breakers.” The now-iconic cover featured Ashley Judd, Taylor Swift, strawberry picker Isabel Pascual, lobbyist Adama Iwu, software engineer Susan Fowler, and the elbow of a hospital worker who chose to remain anonymous (and therein represented the multitudes of women unable to come forward publicly).

Though it may seem strange that Trump and Putin are both in the running despite already having been named Person of the Year, there is a president — er, precedent … Barack Obama earned the title in both 2008 and 2012, and George W. Bush in 2000 and 2004 — and they aren’t the only ones. Franklin D. Roosevelt, Joseph Stalin, George Marshall, Harry Truman, Winston Churchill, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Lyndon B. Johnson, Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, Deng Xiaoping, Mikhail Gorbachev, Bill Clinton, and The American Soldier all wore the title more than once as well.

Time’s 2018 Person of the Year will be revealed on Today Tuesday morning.

It appears as if Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx are living their best lives for the remainder of 2018. 

On Friday, the ultra-private couple were spotted together on a yacht in Miami at dusk, with Holmes wearing a frilly white crop top and matching skirt, and Foxx in a black T-shirt. Earlier in the day, People reports that Holmes was soaking up some rays in a black string bikini while her beau joined her in the lazy afternoon.

A couple of weeks ago, Katie celebrated her 40th birthday alongside Jamie and her mom, Kathleen. “Jamie took the ladies out to Serendipity for Katie’s birthday,” a source told Entertainment Tonight. “It was so sweet, it seemed he like he really wanted to make the night special. Everyone got along great. Jamie is a gentleman and he knows how important Katie’s family is to her.”

2018 also marks another milestone for Katie, as her and Jamie first began their romance five years ago when they were seen dancing together in the Hamptons. And according to an insider, their relationship just keeps getting that much better.

“Their relationship seems so much more serious this year,” the source told People. “Katie and Jamie keep having public dates, and although they try to not be photographed together, they are clearly not as concerned about keeping their relationship private.”

“My heart breaks for all the women who were victimized by Harvey Weinstein,” Lawrence said to People. “I have never had anything but a professional relationship with him. This is yet another example of the predatory tactics and lies that he engaged in to lure countless women.”

Weinstein also refuted the lawsuit’s claims in a statement to Vulture. “This lawsuit was filed and updated strategically with no notice given or any attempt to reach out to Mr. Weinstein’s attorneys for one reason; It was meant to embarrass Mr. Weinstein and garner unchecked media attention,” the statement read. “There is absolutely no truth to the malicious claims made in this lawsuit, and we are reviewing our options with an eye on filing for an immediate dismissal.”

“Mr. Weinstein is embarrassed for Ms. Lawrence with whom he has only had a professional and respectful relationship, who has sadly been dragged into this ugly attempt at defamation,” the statement continued. “This filing further proves that anyone can say whatever they want in a lawsuit for maximum shock value, to defame and debase, without having to offer any facts or reality.”

During a meeting in Weinstein’s office in 2013, the actress claims in the lawsuit that the director “forcibly performed oral sex” on her. That’s when he began boasting about his alleged sexual encounter with Lawrence. He “began lecturing her about how he and his people were all trying to help her, and asked her, ‘Do you even want to be an actress?,'” she said. 

“He expressly reminded her that he was the gatekeeper to her dream by claiming, ‘I slept with Jennifer Lawrence and look where she is; she has just won an Oscar.’”

Curiously, Lovato still follows the other Jonas brothers, Joe and Kevin, as well as their parents.

Azalea’s friendship with Lovato is less well-known, but it seemed to be strong. Not only did the two friends perform together, but at one point Lovato was even going to be a bridesmaid in Azalea’s wedding to NBA star Nick Young back in 2016 (the wedding was eventually called off). 

In July, Azalea spoke to ET about Lovato’s substance abuse issues saying, “I had known about it, as a close friend. So I had really wanted for her to be the one to tell people that. And I worried a lot, as her friend, that something was going to leak or somebody would somehow take that and use it negatively against her, or to make her seem like she’s got a secret.”

The “Sorry Not Sorry” singer is reportedly doing well with her recovery. She broke her social media silence in November, posting a photo of herself at a voting booth on Election Day noting that she was “so grateful to be home in time to vote!” 

It was the color scheme, however seasonally appropriate, that drew the most attention. Many on Twitter compared the look to the “guest of honor” — Peas the turkey, who received Donald Trump’s presidential pardon.

It’s impossible to know, because Melania never speaks about her clothing choices (unless she’s asking the media to stop talking about them altogether), but her busy coat may also have been a form of distraction, placing the attention squarely on her Dior-covered shoulders rather than on those of her daughter-in-law, Ivanka, who has dominated headlines all day as it was revealed that she had sent official government emails from a private account. Ivanka, who became an official White House employee in March of 2017, claimed she didn’t know the rules regarding emails. 

We’d be hard pressed to believe that the First Lady wouldn’t be aware of the attention she’d receive for the look, especially following the criticism she faced following her trip to Africa in early October. FLOTUS was called out for insensitivity for donning a pith helmet, a symbol commonly associated with colonialism; she also caused a stir on Twitter when she stepped out in a look that was compared to cartoon protagonist Carmen Sandiego.

“I wish people would focus on what I do, not what I wear,” Melania said at the time. 

In response, The New York Times‘s Vanessa Friedman wrote, “What [Melania] does is inextricably bound up in what she chooses to wear while doing it, and the same would be true of anyone in that role … The clothes are simply a symbol of the actions, and the actor. Is it superficial? No more than paying attention to any kind of symbolism is.”

For those that believe that Trump is working to undermine her husband through fashion at every turn, contemplate this: According to Vogue Runway, Dior designer Maria Grazia Chiuri was inspired by “Claude Cahun, the pseudonym of Lucy Schwob, a prolific contributor to the Surrealist movement who was openly homosexual and who wore men’s attire more often than not,” for the pre-fall collection. 

In all likelihood, however, Twitter was probably right: She and her stylist were probably just reaching for “Thanksgiving” hues, that just so happened to match Peas. 

Given Clooney’s status as a style icon, it’s not uncommon for questions regarding her fashion choices to follow her in the workplace. Though as her response to the situation proves, she knows how to handle these ordeals and bring the conversation back to the issues that truly matter.

Clooney, who’s spent the last 17 years pursuing human rights, spoke to The Today Show in 2016 about using her newfound fame to bring attention to her career.

“I think it’s wonderful celebrities would choose to spend their time or energy or the spotlight that they have to raise awareness about their causes,” she said. “I don’t really see myself in the same way because I’m still doing the same job that I used to do before. So if there’s more attention paid, for whatever reason, to that, then I think that’s good.”

At the opening of a Beijing exhibition dedicated to late print artist Wu Shi (1912-98) in 2011, noted author and scholar Shu Yi said Wu Shi’s works show an admiration for Qi Baishi, the modern master of classic Chinese art. It was from Qi that Wu Shi inherited the core value of xieyi, a style of drawing the spirit of subjects and privileging the spontaneity of the lines.

Shu also said that Wu Shi was deeply influenced by German artist Kaethe Kollwitz (1867-1945), whose prints advocated care for those in destitution, starvation and the working class.

Kollwitz’s works were introduced to China in the early 20th century by Lu Xun, the prominent writer who loved her work very much. He passionately promoted Kollwitz’s art to young Chinese artists like Wu Shi, who were inspired to create works concerning social problems and voicing the issues of underprivileged communities.
